Horse Ballet

Dressage (French term meaning training), is a path of horse training meant for the competitor or pleasure rider. Its fundamental purpose is to develop, through a standardized progressive training method a horses natural athletic ability and willing to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding horse. This is gymnastic development that can teach a horse to respond easily to minimal aids while remaining relaxed and appear effortless. Dressage is sometimes referred to as Horse Ballet. Over time the great European masters developed a training system which has changed very little and is still used today. This Classical Dressage is still considered to be the basis of the trained dressage horse. So whether you are a competitive rider or pleasure rider, dressage principles and techniques will improve your riding.
